The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 12 results in May 2026. Last year, the result was announced on May 13, 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 88.39%. This will bring an end to the anticipation for millions of students across the country. Students will not face any hassle in checking their results.

The examination results can be checked through a simple and easy process. If a student fails, the option to appear for a compartment examination will remain open to them. CBSE is expected to release the compartment result 2026 in the first week of August 2026. Although the official date for the result declaration has not yet been formally announced, media reports are making claims to this effect.

How to Check Results – CBSE 12th Result 2026

To check their results via DigiLocker, students must first visit the official website: digilocker.gov.in.

Next, they will need to log in by entering their mobile number or Aadhaar number.

Then, they must click on the ‘Issued Documents’ section.

Subsequently, they will need to click on the link for the CBSE Class 12 results.

Finally, they will be required to enter the requested details.

Other Ways to Check Results

Students of the Central Board of Secondary Education can check their results through various websites, including: cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and umang.gov.in. Students can also obtain their result either by sending an SMS to 7738299899 or by calling 011-24300699.

Minimum Marks Required to Pass

To pass the CBSE Class 12 examinations, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in each subject. For subjects with practicals, students must pass in both theory and practical separately. Any student securing less than this minimum percentage will be considered to have failed the examination.

Keep Your Roll Number Handy

The CBSE Class 12 examination results are expected to be released by the Board any day now. Students are advised to keep their roll number, school number, and admit card ID ready to avoid any delays.
