SSC CGL 2025 Exam Latest update: SSC released an official notice confirming the postponement of the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025 (CGL). The decision came after identifying technical errors, server issues, wrong centre allocations and sudden exam cancellations in previous phases.

About SSC
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established on 4 November 1975, initially called as Subordinate Services Commission and later renamed as SSC. It is a premier recruitment body of the Government of India which conducts national level examinations for recruitment to Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Group C posts in Central Ministries, Departments and various organizations. It is headquartered at CGO Complex, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi and has 7 Regional Offices (Allahabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Guwahati, Chennai, Bengaluru) and 2 Sub-Regional Offices (Raipur and Chandigarh) operating across the country. SSC is administered under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and is headed by a Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. At present SSC is Chairman by Shri S. Gopalakrishnan is an IAS officer who assumed office on October 31, 2024 and will likely hold office till March 2029, or until he attains the age of 65 years—whichever is earlier. The major exams of SSC include SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, JE, CPO and recruitment to various selection posts. In recent years, the commission has introduced several reforms for transparency and convenience of candidates, such as computer-based examination system and conducting exams like MTS in 13 regional languages.
