Along with individual scores, the results this time will also feature an All India Rank (AIR), which will be determined based on your best score across both the January and April sessions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also release the necessary category-wise cutoff scores for JEE Advanced. Only the top 250,000 candidates will be eligible to register for the IIT entrance examination. How to Check JEE Main Result 2026 – Direct Steps
- Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on “View Result / Scorecard” link on the homepage.
- Enter your Application Number and Password or Date of Birth.
- Click Submit — your scorecard with percentile, AIR, and JEE Advanced status will appear.
- Download the PDF immediately and take a printout.
- JEE Advanced 2026 — The top 2.5 lakh qualifiers (based on the best score across both sessions) will be eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2026 for IIT admissions. Registration will open shortly after the result.
- JoSAA Counselling — Candidates who qualify for JEE Main but not JEE Advanced can participate in JoSAA counselling for admission to 32 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 40 GFTIs. JoSAA counselling is expected to begin from June 2, 2026.
- State-Level Counselling — You can also apply to state engineering colleges using your JEE Main score through your state's counselling process.
- Best Score Policy — NTA will pick your best NTA score between Session 1 and Session 2 for calculating your final All India Rank. So even if Session 1 went better for you, that score will be used.
