India Post accepted applications to fill a total of 28,636 vacant positions, and the process is ongoing. So far, India Post has released two lists. Following this process, selected candidates for GDS positions are paid a salary based on their category. BPMs receive a salary ranging from ₹ 12,000-₹29,380 per month, and MBPMs/Postal Service personnel receive a salary ranging from ₹10,000-₹24,470 per month.

India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026: Document Verification 

India Post GDS has already released the second merit list for 2026. Selected candidates will be required to appear at the designated divisional office for document verification. During the DV (Document Verification), candidates will be required to attach all original documents as well as self-attested photocopies. Failure to complete document verification before the deadline will result in the application being rejected, and a new candidate will be selected in the next list.
