If you have already registered for CUET UG 2026 and want to change or update your selected subjects, here is your last chance. The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially reopened the CUET UG 2026 subject correction window on April 17, 2026. This facility is available till April 19, 2026 at 11:50 PM only. NTA took this decision after receiving several requests from candidates who wanted to align their subject choices with the eligibility criteria of their preferred universities. In its official notice, NTA described this as a “special extended opportunity” — meaning it is unlikely that another correction window will be opened after this. If you have any doubts about your subject selection, log in right now at cuet.nta.nic.in and review your choices.

Who Is Eligible to Use This Window?

  • Candidates who have successfully completed CUET UG 2026 registration and paid the application fee.
  • Only the subject selection can be changed — changes to personal details or exam cities are not part of this window.
  • There is no additional fee for changing already selected subjects in this window.
  • Candidates who have not yet registered cannot use this window — this is only for already-registered students.

Why Did NTA Open This Window?

NTA received a large number of requests from registered candidates who had selected subjects that did not match the eligibility criteria of the universities they wanted to apply to. For example, some students aiming for Delhi University or BHU courses had either missed a required subject or selected the wrong domain subject. Since the CUET UG exam is the single entry point for admission to over 280 universities across India, a wrong subject selection directly impacts admission chances. NTA recognised this and opened this special correction window as a final opportunity before the exam begins on May 11.

Important: Maximum 5 Subjects Allowed

One of the key changes in CUET UG 2026 is that candidates can select a maximum of 5 subjects only — this includes languages, domain-specific subjects, and the General Test combined. Unlike previous years where more subjects were allowed, NTA has capped it at 5 this year. While updating your subjects, make sure you stay within this limit.
