Minimum Passing Marks- Karnataka SSLC 2026
To pass the Karnataka SSLC 2026 examination, a student must meet both of these conditions:
- Minimum 35 marks out of 100 in each individual subject
- Minimum aggregate score of 206 out of 625 overall
If a student fails to meet the subject-wise minimum in one or two subjects, they are eligible for the Karnataka SSLC Supplementary Examination (Exam 2).
What to Do If You Fail in Karnataka SSLC 2026?
Students who do not clear the Karnataka SSLC Exam 1 in 2026 have two more opportunities this year itself:
- Exam 2 (Supplementary): Expected to be held from May 18–25, 2026. Students who fail in one or more subjects can appear for this exam.
- Exam 3: A third opportunity is offered in July 2026 for students who could not clear in Exam 1 or Exam 2.
- Revaluation: Students who feel their answer sheets were not marked correctly can apply for revaluation through the official KSEAB portal. Dates and fees will be announced separately.
Note: Karnataka’s SSLC pass percentage appears lower than many other states because the board conducts three separate exam opportunities in a year. Many students who do not clear Exam 1 successfully clear the same subjects in Exam 2 or Exam 3. The final cumulative pass rate is significantly higher.
